Black Friday 2010 market size predictions
Wait a minute, Black Friday 2009 isn’t finished yet and you’re talking about Black Friday 2010 already? Well, if this year everyone predicts that sales will be at approximately the same level as last year, due to financial crisis that affected us all, next year things are expected to get better, thus increasing general sales and sales during special events like Black Friday 2010, Cyber Monday, Christmas season and so on.
It’s not hard to imagine sales following past years trend of increasing a few dozen percents every season. That’s likely to happen next year during 2010 Black Friday sales shopping season but I expect people to be more cautious and only buy products they really need, after a more elaborated selection process. After all, if there’s something this crisis taught us all is that we have to better spend our money, on things that are really valued and are needed, because there’s not much reason to spend money on something you don’t need, even if it’s cheaper than the regular stuff.
So, that’s my prediction on Black Friday sales in 2010: things will get slightly normal, as market size will increase again, but people will be more cautious on what they’re spending money on. Do you agree?
