Buy the latest mini laptop from Acer, called Aspire One. Weighting just 4.8 pounds and with a standby lifetyme of above 6 hours, this mini laptop is one of the best ultrportable on the market.
It packs a 1.6GHz Atom N270 Processor from Intel, along with a 8GB SSD hard drive, 512MB of RAM (but this memory can be expanded of course), 802.11b/g, Ethernet conectivity , three USB 2.0 ports, VGA output and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
